    Didn't know Origin was still a thing, and I've never cared much for it. Steam has the most library of games that even the Epic Games Store can't compete against. You have more choice with what games you want to play on Steam.

    And even if you don't like some features provided by Steam, like their chat feature or their friend system, you could just use Discord. But I do think it's stupid to have people pay $5 just to access features like sending friend requests or even rating a game; there are other ways Steam could deal with preventing spamming, phishing, and other abuses, such as requiring an account to be actively playing for a long amount of time or having some merit system.
