Best Way to Earn Points and Items Fast?

    Getting asked this a lot by new members via PM and have seen it in chat many times as well in the past, so thought this could help.

    The best way is to join big Forum Events like the Ogre Game Freedom Event and claim all the activities you do there:). Click here for current events!

    Not only are you active by participating thus earning points, the Events also have rewards such as a Rixty Card.

    Have seen many members get all kinds of rewards over the years. Usually the more they participate in the better. On the flip side, those that "retire" or "take an Event off" usually (there have been exceptions) don't do well after that.

    Why do Events help so much? I think they provides structure to continue and to be more known in the community. Not surprisingly, almost all Event participants wind up being nominated for Member of the Month:).

    Participating in events has proven to be quite fast in getting points. I have collected myself quite a bit of points by participating in one. Ogre Quests thread is also a good way to get points by doing tasks and you get rewarded with some points and you get points by just doing them too.

    Yes, the ones that paid too close attention to points only normally have not lasted as well as those who just discussed games on the forum and/or participated in Events etc:).

    I get so many alerts all the time that I don't pay attention to them anymore. For example, I have 288 right now lol.

    I haven't really paid attention to points that much either and now i have 110k points as of posting this! Time sure does fly huh?

    Speaking of, the top four places in the big Event have all been raised point wise because of the top four participants of this event:). They ended up being four only this time, but it was a strong four! In fact, they were so steady this time did not even do double event points.

    Now a fourth place finish will get at least 10,000 forum points. This is significant because points will be even more desired very soon:).

    Forum Games have also been added back after being buried for most of 2018. However, expect better games overall this time.
