Whats your favorite class for pvp/pve?

I prefer Pirate the most, Dage also was using Pirate so that means it can't be that bad. I normally use the Mage cross because it's quite OP for PvP. I still think that Rogue is utter crap though.

 

Ranged classes seem to be the best option for PvP.

 

PvE Boss - Guardian/Paladin w Holy Bolt
The key point when solo-ing a boss is to survive because it's like a battle of endurance, so use your potion and healing skill wisely!

PvE Mob - Pirate w Seismic Slam
Pirate has fastest long range attack and fastest long range skill to spam, faster the mob die, faster you can kill another mob. Got surrounded? Don't worry, just bang them all with Seismic Slam

PvP - Necromancer/Mage w Bone Cage
PvP right now is dominated by long range classes since melee classes have a hard time to close their distance and attack the enemy. Necromancer and Mage are my main classes to do PvP since both of them has a nice stun skill.

 

Yeah that's pretty accurate but I would add Pirate to the PvP.

 

I don’t think you can really pick a favorite because all classes are unique, and some are specialized for different things (e.g. DragonSlayer - high DPS and damage against dragons, Pirate - range, Mage - powerful range with more mana use, Guardian - healer and tank, etc.). They all have different purposes, and you can be specific if you want to classify what’s good for group/solo/1v1/3v3/etc. I would just pick Mage because it’s more of a role-play choice than a gameplay choice.

I would use both for PvP and I normally use Warrior for PvE unless its a big boss that I need a ranged class. Then I use Mage or Pirate.

 

If we have guild vs guild / guild war with many players gather around, warrior can be a lethal weapon. I hope in future if guild war is implemented, AE should lock players' classes before the war started, so there will be strategic element added to the game because it's not fun if you can change class while doing mass battle

 

I still find it a bit odd that Warrior is like the best class for farming/multiple hitting. xD

 

Sometimes. Back in the day, Mage used to be the best class since monsters with the best drops (for selling gold) were spaced instead of clumped together, so it was quicker using ranged attacks. Now, there are a lot of monsters clumped together, like the monsters in Shatterskull Bridge which used to be the best XP farming spot. I think Warrior class is average now in terms of farming since every class has its own advantage/disadvantage depending on what you farm and where. If you farm dragon monsters, DragonSlayer class is probably the best class. If you farm OP monsters, tank classes and healer classes tend to be the best.

 

Yeah, and sometimes you could solo a boss too with mage by kiting them around like what I did long ago before I bought guardian class :d

 

I would advice to use Warrior regardless of monster type if they are clumped together because Dragonslayer doesn't have a non-ultimate AoE and Warrior can have up to 3 AoEs to use. If those enemies are tanky then have a class in your group that keeps healing going so those "helicopters" can keep on doing that sweet AoE damage.

 

Mage still isn't the worst for farming clumps of mobs. You just needa aim it a bit. At least the fireball attack can hit multiple targets.
