    Ok, talked with the Paladin over this yesterday:). The prize part is improving and we now have a better timetable when this is more possible.

    In the meantime, those interested should start PMing me or post here because it could be the whole community now when it happens!

    Those who really want this to happen need to start having some input and/or suggestions about how to conduct the tournament so it can take better shape. The Ogre and the Paladin can only do so much and we probably won't even fight lol.

    This whole thing is for the AQ3D community so need more than just asking when it will be or what the prizes are from it. This tournament can really be something special with enough community input:). If it goes well enough, may can even make it a regular event!

    If it helps, here are some of the main questions that need to be addressed:

    Can it be melee only?

    What rules need to be in place?

    How big should it be?

    How long is an average PvP battle?

    We could make this melee class only. A rule that should be a must is that you must reset your ultimate charge before a fight so no one gets an advantage by using their ultimate in the beginning of the fight.

    The length of a battle between players depends highly on potions if they are allowed.

    Are we going to allow potions and other consumable items like buffs, summons and single use abilities like Poison Thorn?

    Another thing is that what cross skills we are going to allow to be used? If we are going with melee classes only then we should limit cross skills as well. Some melee classes do have ranged skills so we do have to define what is a melee class.

    As any tournament ever, we should have brackets like winners and losers brackets.

    How big should this event be? It's pretty hard to answer that because not that many people know about this event in the first place. Most maps don't have a very high room limit so keeping this event good sized (not too big nor too small) shouldn't be too hard.

    Great post, Heroman! That is the type of post that we were looking for with this thread:).

    Yes, melee only would be the most ogrish and allow for more focused PvP.

    Well, the Paladin came up with a possible idea that was a little surprised by lol. He mentioned holding it during a concert! With the interest overall shown so far, that may be the way to go for the first one if he was serious about it:). Then if people like it, we can build on that to make an official one later.

    This will likely happen next year now. The plant explosion side tracked everything including conversations about this and now it is time for the holidays.

    However, would be great if somebody took an interest on what it could be. It may end up being an Event rather than a tournament, but we could still use elements of the concept:).
