Do you read official game lore?

I only read heavily into lore for the dark souls franchise, it is just so easy to get lost in the lore

 

just lightly, if the lore is good enough.

 

Yeah, I read some of it or whenever i feel bored, I look it up (know the story before you play) :3

 

I dont even know any of the story. Lol

 

I'm more familiar with the characters than the actual storyline, usually I just look for humor

Very rarely, because very rarely do games actually start off with dialogue that makes you want to peek round the corner to see what's next. It's always some boring long winded overblown focus on details that nobody cares about, kinda like a lot of my posts XD But seriously, I don't care if character x hasn't seen character y in 10 yrs, unless there's some big reveal that ties into my gaming or immerses me.

If it's interesting, I'll read it. If not, I'll pass... I liked Gta series and thief series story

 

I believe the story/lore is the most important aspect of game because when i play a game and i feel addicted to learning the backstories or hidden secrets i know its and amazing game

 

Most of the time yes. Sadly, there are games that are so shallow and don't care about the lore. You either just drive to a destination or just shoot somebody.

Then again, there are those games that are so invested in lore they make money out of books regarding the lore. A fine example is Warhammer 40k.

I am interested in lore so i do read some time to time depending how much i like the game i am reading lore about.

 

I really like reading lore when the character is interesting .

 

If it is interesting enough to captivate me, I certainly do.

 

I always read the story because you have to appreciate the devs who make the story. I don't really like a game without backstory or just mindless PvP game.

 

I love lore it's the best part of a game. And bad story = bad game imo. The context for why you're doing what you're doing just enriches the experience.

 

Yes i do i like warcrafr's lore the most.

 

Not really, instead of that i prefer to read some book not conected with games

 

I like to know the history of the land I play in. Ask me about US realm and I have no idea, but the virtual land! I start blabbing! ,'D
