Where did you first hear about AQ3D?

It's there to keep players playing, but doesn't mean it attracts everyone to come back in. Filler content is usually time consuming so AE can buy themselves more time to get proper content out and that leads to there being more filler than proper content which isn't good for the game.

 

From a friend on Discord. I was just curious, and I figured I give it a try.

 

How has your experience with AQ3D been? Do you like it?

 

I heard about AQ3D on the AQWorldsDesign Notes since 2014 ^^

 

A lot of people did find out about it that way and it's not surprising why that is.

 

I play AE games since 2008. I was heard about it when it first announced, but I was not playing games anymore. Since I decided to go back to playing games, I started to play it this year.

 

Not that bad time to go back playing games considering there has been quite a bit of content added since AQ3D started.

 

Yes, new players can easily catch up with the story and character development. But I am not sure that makes old players happy.

 

I don't really see how this would make old players unhappy. Am I supposed to be unhappy because new players get things done smoother nowadays? I don't really see the problem here.

 

Neither do I. But trust me, there are many. They think new players catch up with them quickly, so they start to login between such long periods instead of logging every day. Because they know they can catch endgame easily too. In short, they just want some difference between themselves and new players.

 

I saw it from the design notes page since I played aqw for years.

 

AQ3D did get some attention through that design notes post. Many AQ3D players have played AQW and that was pretty obvious during AQ3D's early phases.

 

I typed in "best mmorpgs" in a search engine and it was on a list of some sort. I can't even remember what the website was.
