System of the year (so far)

Well honestly i thought the ps2 was awesome x] it had really cool games so i voted ps2 and the ps3 is also really awesome kinda like the psp but better xD so i voted ps3 as well

 

Well if it was best system of all time i would say ps2

 

I'd have to go with the PS3, even though I do not own one, only because I heard of PS3 online is free, and if that's the case I am kinda ticked that I shoveled out the cash to buy my Xbox 360 instead of the PS3, because xbox live is not free. When my computer was down I relied on my Xbox to waste some time on the weekends, and I wanted to go live but I didn't want to pay for another internet connection just to play games.

 

Tis a good year, with great announcements from the big three at E3.

Playstation Move has been launched, which may turn out to be my favourite motion controller, as it is the most accurate.

Kinect will be amazing if it works, though early tech demos now are a little shaky (also, rumors are that it will focus on casual games... shouldn't care cos I want a PS3, but it seems a big waste...).

And the 3DS, though requires you to hold it in the right way, is pretty darn good technology. 3D without glasses!

All three have also announced a load of great games. Fable III for Xbox, but especially, finally, the new Gran Turismo for PS3 (many have waited YEARS for this game!).

 

The PS2 is the best of the last generation. You can still find PS2 games in stores. Good luck trying to find Xbox or Gamecube games rofl.

 

Of this year, not of the last generation. I think of this year, any one of the next-gen consoles have made more progress in innovating the game industry than the PS2.

 

yea but still ps2 was beast before others came out...

 

ps3 but i hope all game consoles arent gonna be like wii and motion controlled that will be such a punch to the face! i like controllers not stupid controllers that make you jump around.(and im not saying this because im lazy) because im not

 

I think they'll keep the normal controllers for a loooong time in both PS3 and Xbox 360.

 

yes! why dont they just make a camara and you playing in your camara like in eyetoy Remember from the ps2? I dont want stupid motion controllers imagine playing fifa youll be so tired... >.<

 

Like Kinect? Either way, you'd have to move about with motion controllers. It means you won't be able to play for 8 hours straight like you normally do . It means that you'd have to be fairly fit if you want to play for a fair length of time, like I am .

 

If that will be the case then i would have to live with it i guess... but I think i could handle it..

 

Some of the games on wii is fun like the wii sports x] but i wouldnt buy it

 

There are some gems on Wii, like Okami, or No More Heroes, and any of the games Nintendo have developed for it (Mario Galaxy, Zelda etc). However, it's not enough to constitute me buying it. I'd pretty much have to sacrifice the ability to have a good console FPS (because there's no such thing on the Wii, the motion control isn't accurate enough, and the best FPS companies develop for other consoles.

 

IMO, the PS3 is going to be hard to beat. It the successor to the PS3, supports Blue Ray, and has a decent online service.
