    These are 2 different type of game. WoW is MMORPG, when Minecraft is a sandbox game. If you want put up a competition, it should be Minecraft vs Garry's Mod

    i dont see how you can compare these 2 since they are completely different games but i definitely enjoy minecraft more since there is a lot more freedom in what you can do. wow is too linear.

    I think this is hands down, World of Warcraft. Out since 2003 and hit around 13 Million monthly users. That will be hard to beat, even in ten years.

    Immature have to say minecraft, yes the graphics are shit, but it has a lot more freedom and more to I, it's cheaper, one time payment and it still in beta.mods just make the game better.

    for the people who compare games with the amount of money they have to spend, WOW has much more content than Minecraft and the content is worth the amount of money you pay. BTW there both completely different games lol.

    World of Warcraft has a very devoted fanbase, and Minecraft has earned a decent stranglehold on a strictly niche market. I foresee part of World of Warcraft's market spilling over into Minecraft's market, but not the other way around. However, having said that, 5 years is a long time in terms of video game lifespans. That is enough time for players to get tired of repetitive World of Warcraft quest runs and playing pretend developer in Minecraft. I think something better and much more deserving of gamers' attentions will come along soon.

    I could never decided between the two, I like them both equally and in five years I believe that WoW would be replaced by Blizzards new F2P MMO, and Minecraft will be replaced by a new Indie Sandbox Creator game.
