    It's been rumored that steam is coming to linux soon for almost 4 years now I think. There are ways to use it in linux, it's just non-native and thus less responsive. And thus icky, but I don't really play much more than Kingdom of Loathing any more.

    I'd honestly rather see what the dealio with windows 8 is going to be before deciding what os to go for next anyway (I know what they intend it to do, I wanna see how it actually works at release). Until then? Lazily slaving away with vista. Emphasis on lazy. I do like the idea of nicer performance generally though... (I don't game nearly enough outside of my browser for it to actually matter what I do, really)

    Also, as I have found, googling for things like that is almost always faster than waiting to ask someone. You won't have been the first person with your problems. Or Ubuntu Forums

    this is kinda embarrassing :eek::eek: but this is the first time im introducing myself since joining . my code name is zekrom . im living in kerala india .

    im not a hardcore gamer . i dont know whats runescape,crossfire or any of the games you all talk about . the only games i know are god of war,gta,prince of persia,and uh..pokemon. i know its a kiddy game but i really love it :D especially the back and white series.

    the only internet game i play is dragon fable . and those of facebook .

    anybody care to tell me what crossfire and runescape are??

    Sounds great, WoT became a huge game and it def. deserves something like this.
    And things can be even better once World of Airplanes and Battleships are released :)

    As super says those are online games. You play them with other players in the whole world. Runescape is a browser game, so there's no downloading needed. Crossfire is a FPS that you have to download to play.
