Now it looks like it may be one of my video cards. I went into one game and just saw pure orange snow. When I plugged my monitor into the other video card, it did fine.

Seems like it, since you've sorted out your drivers, so it's probably your video card being a problem, or even that they plugged it in badly or something.

Yea, my other one seems to be doing fine though. Glad I have two:).

Of course, I have to call them yet again about the video card now. I bet I have spent over 15 hours on the phone talking to support. At least it has been a learning experience.

15 hours on the phone is just too much, you can buy a new card for that kind of money you spent on the phone bill ;)

Tell me about it:). I also lost time working on the site. Thankfully, it has finally gotten to a point where I can work and play games on it.

Yes, it is. The sad thing is that I saw several each day for about 3 weeks.

Well, you've got it working now, so all's well that ends well. I'm surprised that an Alienware computer would get so many problems. Especially now that they've been acquired by Dell.

I wish I could because it is acting up again. I tried Left 4 Dead 2 on it today and it has been down ever since. I may even need to buy a different computer because they won't give me a new one or just send somebody to fix it.

Does it have warranty? Then you could just call one of them to come and fix it for you.

My computer's mouse broke once, and I paid shipping to send it in, and they said there was not any problem...

I just use a usb mouse on it now.

I wish it were that simple:). Unfortunately, Dell/Alienware has a backward way of doing tech support. They are supposed to diagnose your problem over the phone and then send a hardware technician who only installs the hardware and then leaves. It would be so much easier if they sent a technician who could just come and fix the PC or allow you to send it to them to get fixed. Instead, you get a different person on the phone every time you call. Most just follow a checklist of things to do to try and diagnose your PC. None want to be the one who sends me a new unit. None have been able to fix all the problems with my PC either.

Well, Alienware were supposed to get my PC to be repaired last week, but never called. I finally had to get another computer because I need something reliable.

Glad you have a good computer now...that really sucks though.

Worse than ASUS (pretty bad customer service, and horrible repair people.)
