The Drakel are a clever and advanced race of Dragonkind. It was once believed they had fur (mostly because of how bad my drawing skills were back in 2002) but this new concept sketch by Dage reveals that they are quite reptilian in nature. As an intelligent race of conquerors, they excel at making and using advanced armor and steampunk inventions to wage war.

QUESTION! What are your favorite Drakel memories from the previous games? Do you have any ideas on how to make them even more memorable and interesting when you encounter them in this world?

Imagine if this happen after the vampire/werewolves saga at Darkovia!/? (.....).
What do you think???

The Dragon's army is over half way to our town!
A massive army lead by a Dragon is headed straight for the town of Battleon... it will arrive any time this week!

Gaz is removing Red Dragon Travel Forms from his shop
As a result, Gaz, the Black Market vendor, is removing the Red Dragon Travel Forms from his shop this week. He had been selling these magical red dragon transformations from his cart in the town of Battleon. But with a Dragon's army on its way, and DragonSlayers likely to follow, he is wisely hiding away his remaining stash. If you have not gotten one, this week is your last chance. It will not be possible to get the Red Dragon Travel Forms again for about a year.

New Travel Form coming?
By popular demand, Gaz will be offering something... much... stranger. You can *BWAK* only guess *BWAK* at what it will *BWAK BWAK BWAAAAAK* be. Wait till you see the full loaded, armored, and weaponized version O_O.

P.S. Special World Event
There are three types of special events. Holiday events like Mogloween and Frostvale. Then there are live events-- which we have not seen yet outside of developer's spontaneously showing up and making NPCs talk and spawn monsters. Then... there is a WORLD EVENT.

A world event is something that very few other games ever do. A world event only happens once, and it will very likely permanently change the world. AdventureQuest 3D does not yet have a war system, nor a faction/rep system, nor most of the awesome event tools we made for the other games. But the team used everything they had at their disposal to create a fun world event for you that will start this week. We really hope you enjoy it. By participating in it, you will become a part of our game's worlds history. Also, there are a lot of reward items in there for everyone! If you have been following the design notes and Artix's Twitter you likely already know why this Ashfall related world event is happening... if not, it will be a fun surprise

The Invasion Has Begun!

THE INVASION BEGINS!
Dragonlord Talyn has had enough of your interference. Reports started coming in last week of an invasion force lead my dragons headed toward Battleon! It seems the reports were true.

The town is being overrun by the fastest and lightest soldiers in this invasion force but we can expect more to come.

Roland, a former adventurer (and some say Guardian), has lives in Battleon his whole live and doesn't plan on sitting back and watching the down go down without a fight. He needs YOU to join the Battleon Defenders and help protect Battleon!



You can complete his quests and gain ranks in the Batleon Defenders, and every few ranks a new crafting shop filled with loot will unlock so you can complete your Battleon Defender look.

Guardians, you will also find special versions of the Guardian Blade, Armor a few new helm options and even an extra special treat at Rank 20, if you can make it there.

NOTE: This is a one-time event BUT there will be other attacks on Battleon and you will see the Battleon Defenders (and their items) again in the future.

NEW TRAVEL FORMS!


There are two new travel forms in Gaz's Black Market shop! The Dricken and Battle Dricken!

These forms are the same size as normal drickens so they may not be as bulky as the Elite Guardian Rider Travel Form but their smaller size makes it feel like you're moving twice as fast (their speed is 130% normal speed, the same as every other travel form so far).

You would not believe the high volume of requests we've gotten for Dricken travel forms, going as far back as the Kickstarter. We're really pleased with how they came out. If you like going fast and laughing like a lunatic the whole time then these travel forms are for you!

The Red Dragon Travel Forms will return but not for about another year.

MEGACON CAPES FOR ALL!


Gaz also has the Megacon Cape for sale.

We know that not everyone can make it to the conventions to get the promo items we often release so, instead of making this one exclusive, we decided to try something different.

Everyone who goes to see Artix at the MegaCon AQ3D Panel this weekend in Orlando will receive the cape for FREE... however, Gaz "found" a few extras and he is more than happy to give you one for a modest finders fee, so nobody has to miss out on this handsome back item.

If you can make it to MegaCon this weekend, the AQ3D Panel is TOMORROW, Saturday May 27th at 6:00 PM in Room #N220E.

Artix, Stryche and PanicPop will be there talking about AQ3D, spilling development secrets and answering those questions that only the bravest con-goers can ask.

Our home town of Battleon is on fire!
Waves of fire breathing draconic forces have breached our town's walls. But the Dragonslayers are nowhere to be found...

Message to Defender's of Battleon
"Through the wings of the Dragon's horde, you can no longer even see the sun. Even with our incredible defenses, nothing could have prepared us for this onslaught. The Dragon's army has already set most of the town ablaze. I have sent a dozen requests for reinforcements to the DragonSlayers, but we have not received a single reply. I do not know what Galanoth thinks is so important that he is turning his back on us... but it is now certain. The DragonSlayers are NOT coming. It is too late to evacuate any of the townsfolk that remain. Our only choice is to fight... yes, this situation has just gone from bad to worse. Yes, we are outnumbered and our supplies are burning as you read this. But are we going to give up? HELL NO! We are going to fight with every sword, spell, stick, rock, and fist left! If they fail to break us, the Dragon leading this army will have to come in here himself! Did you hear me? We just need to hold out a bit longer. For our town... BATTLE ON!" - Roland

The Second Wave
The second wave of the Dragon's army is currently attacking town. Several buildings have taken structural damage and may collapse at any moment.

Dragon General!!
In the distance we can see the leader of this army. It is a MASSIVE Dragon. Alongside it are what we assume is the elite guard. It seems perched to deliver the final blow to our town... be ready!
