    Hey guys, I've been doing some thinking lately (hurrdurr Noche has a brain :smash:) and it seems like one of our biggest problems is proper communication. It's kind of a no-brainer, I know, but we really need an effective way to organize and plan. Quinn and I attempted to outline our ideas in a YWOT map (found here) but it kind of flopped.

    So. Does anyone have any ideas for better communication/planning tools? I for one think real-time chat is pretty effective; however, I don't want to clog the GO chat box with MUDspeak 24/7. I'm personally a fan of xat or scriblink because they both have online whiteboards (scriblink more so) that we can draw on as we talk. Anybody have an opinion on these or an external site in mind, as well as a way we can store our notes and documents?

    You can use chat for projects if it helps:). It would definitely beat some conversations that are in chat sometimes lol.

    The only downside to the GO chat is that there isn't really a visual component (online whiteboard, etc.). I'd prefer to have something like that available so that we can do some physical outlining instead of just talking about layouts--when we're planning out towns, dungeons, and other areas it's nice to see where everything is spatially.

    I'm not sure. I know you were testing out a new chat plugin a while back, but other than that, the only thing would be to just use this subforum (which IMO isn't good for the type of conversations we'll be having--live chat would be best but I really don't want to clog up the main chatbox or have random interjections/several conversations going on at once due to other members being on at the same time.)

    All MUDs have some sort of chat feature, and most have a forum type deal by default as well, so communication once we actually decide and I get the MUD server we want set up can be done inside that. IRC could also be used and set up pretty easily.

    Definitely want to get this working this Summer.
