Do you spend your money for DC's when there's a new event?

I normally spend them when theres items like collectors packages

 

I need to stop buying all the event items. Especially travel forms... I gotta catch them all though...
I will totally buy all the packages, especially if they come with a shop so I don't waste bank space.

 

yes i do. i buy the collections since it gives badges and cool items that doesnt require bank inventory space

I only buy more DC's if there is something I like. I'm not too crazy with collecting every badge and or title which usually saves me a lot of money.

I think it depends. Sometimes collections feel underwhelming that it's better to spend DCs on the few items you like than to spend DCs on the entire collection. For instance, I think they did well with 2019's Summer and TLaPD collection, but the 2019 Mogloween collection was underwhelming. Summer collection had two armor sets and TLaPD collection had three, but Mogloween collection only had one. Some could argue that the 4,500 DC Horseman form is the star of the Mogloween collection and may opt to spend 4,900 DCs on the entire collection (in other words, spend 400 DCs more), but I personally don't think any form is really worth that much (which is about $20), especially since the models get reused for other purposes like monsters, and the forms don't really feel as 'tangible' as regular armor pieces. Besides, you can't accessorize armor pieces with forms, and you don't see many people transform into their forms. And if you already own a 160% speed form, there's little reason to purchase another one.

 

The only motivation to actually go and get the whole collection is the fact that you get free storage for them and the badge.

 

But weighing in the options, 4,900 DCs for an entire collection vs. 900 DCs for an entire bank vault (plus however much you want to spend on just the individual items), I'd say the bank vault is well worth it. Technically, the collection doesn't give you free storage, just free accessibility (you can delete the item at anytime and buy it for 0 gold at anytime). The only free storage are the forms, whether you buy it for 4,500 DCs or buy it with the collection for 4,900 DCs... and I guess pets also give you free storage. If you want to use item pieces for your character, you'll still need to make room for your inventory. I don't know why AE didn't do something similar with what they did for tokens, pets, and forms where items actually do have free storage... it would be better than the collection having free accessibility.

 

It's technically free storage because you can get items from the collection when you want them and delete them when you don't feel like using them. You don't need to have them on your inventory at all times if you value that inventory space. You could call it free accessibility and it's close enough to free storage that we can get right now with these collections.
