    Some players never use redstone but there are other players who uses redstone in the every part of the game. Which community are you belong to?

    It's useful for certain contraptions, such as making one button open two doors (if you have a house that uses two doors), turning on multiple redstone lamps, controlling command blocks, and some other things. If you're building something big that requires a lot of logic, I would recommend using command blocks over redstone, but for small contraptions, redstone is useful.
