When I was learning to play DOTA 2 (and am still learning but when I was a complete beginner) I always create a lobby game and played in Raidiant team.
Later, I learned some of the basics and rehearsed to kill.
I continued to play DOTA 2 with bots and more practiced.
Once I entered the game server and put me in Dire team. The first time I played in dire team and I felt strange, as if for the first time playing DOTA second
I could not play properly and could not make a kill.
I used to be in Raidiant and now I always feel weird when I play in Dire team.

Has this happened to you while you were a beginner?
How can I avoid this confusion?

I don't find it that confusing. Think it's just a preference, and maybe after some more time, u will get used to it. :)
