EA Play 2018 just ended, here is a recap of the conference.

Unravel Two Announced and Released Today

$19.99 - PC, Xbox One, PS4

Sequel to Unravel from a few years back, Unravel Two was announced today and it's out now! This one seems focused on Co-Op (local only), though it's designed to still be playable by yourself. It's a puzzle side-scroller. Check out the trailer:



Anthem Unveiling

Gotta be said, I found this one very underwhelming and not because of the game itself. It didn't feel like they showed much at all. A lot of talk and the new gameplay shown wasn't a good choice in my opinion. Anyways, the new trailer is below. They don't have the gameplay up yet, sorry. The biggest news was no lootboxes! Though the game will feature a number of paid cosmetics.

Battlefield 5 Multiplayer Trailer

Battlefield 5 got a new trailer, more will be revealed tomorrow at the Xbox Press Conference. Battle Royale mode confirmed.



Sea of Solitude Trailer

Command and Conquer: Rivals (Mobile Game)

EA announced a new mobile game called Command and Conquer: Rivals. It's a 1v1 RTS game. Android users can register for the pre-alpha starting to today via Google Play. iOS users should register on the official website.



Star Wars Battlefront 2 New Content Announced

DICE has confirmed Clone Wars will be coming to Battlefront 2 later this year. New heroes include General Grievous, Count Dooku, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. EA also reaffirmed it's commitment to Battlefront 2... for what that's worth.

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order Announced

New Star Wars game from Respawn. Coming late 2019. Nothing was shown but it will take place between Episode 3 and 4. Look for more on this next year.

FIFA 19 Adds UEFA Champions League

FIFA 19's big new feature is the addition of the UEFA Champions League. The game will have an authentic tournament mode for it. Alex returns and will pursue the trophy as well.

NBA Live 19 Release Date

NBA Live 19 is coming September 7th, 2018. No real gameplay was shown.

Madden 19 coming to PC

Title speaks for itself, not much else was shown for Madden.

Origin Access Premier Announced

$15 a month, $100 a year
10% off in Origin Store
EA games will be top versions (Ultimate Edition etc) of them
Access new release EA games 5 days early

Coming later this summer, Origin Access Premier is a second level subscription above the existing Origin Access service. So Origin Access currently offers unlimited access to a "vault" of games for a monthly fee. "Origin Access Premier" will cost more but also include access to all new release EA games, including Anthem. No word if this will be coming to EA Access on Xbox.

EA Developing a Cloud Gaming Service

So this one was kinda weird. It's not ready yet so no dates were given and it sounds like we shouldn't expect it "soon" but EA took the time to confirm they are moving into cloud gaming. It sounds like the ultimate goal is to allow you to play EA titles on many different devices... phones, for example, were shown in the clip. Details were pretty thin but it's a thing.

 

Honestly, this one was a bit of a snoozer. EA needs to step it's game up.
