    My intent is to update it quarterly, and the next quarter begins next month (September) so it'll be updated next month.

    Have any suggestions as to current MMOs you think are making a dent in the current market? I'm taking GameOgre community suggestions at a slightly higher priority than the Internet in general for these lists. :)

    Well, list will be at least 80% changed by mine opinion. There are so many new "faces" in gaming industry and many of them gained huge popularity in the last few months. Also we need to know what factors make the game one of the best in this list, before trowing any names out :)

    Since I built that from scratch, it was almost entirely the "Internet opinion" where I mined a bunch of top-10-MMO lists, generated weights for each of the games and then had them sorted by weight. I then went through and moved them around a little based on sheer popularity, population, longevity, etc.

    As I've got the forums here to grab attention, however, I will be putting a lot more weight on community input than outside top-10 lists for this round.

    So fire away.

    Later this month, I'll start a poll on the subject. :)

    Notch Demands Satisfaction, Challenges Bethesda to Trial by Combat | Free MMORPG Blog

    Just couldn't pass this one up.

    In recent news, game developer Notch was threatened with a lawsuit by Bethesda Softworks because he wanted to register the trademark "Scrolls" in relation to an upcoming game he's developing.

    Well, instead of settling this in court, he's requested a Quake 3 duel with three of Bethesda's best warriors. :)

    Right! I forgot to post that here.

    Also, just to let everyone know why I have less articles out right now than usual. I'm in the middle of moving a thousand or so miles so I will be out of contact for about a week. However, I'm trying to stack up some interesting articles for the blog and I'm even play-testing three games right now for reviews. :)

    I totally could not pass that one up. Every play-to-play game that moves into the free-to-play market (especially popular games) tallies up further onto the scale and opens up the ecology that much further.

    Too bad I never was able to play that game: it crashed my PC a lot. :(

    I think his list is about spot on, DDO might be a little high though. Not so sure about Hellgate either but they both are still great games.
