The site seems to be more about news for brand new game engines or updates, IDEs, etc., not so much a practical "how to" for making games from scratch (not to be confused with making games from MIT's Scratch) or forming the ideation to create the groundworks for a good game.

The thing about "making a game from scratch" is that game development encompasses so much more than just game engines and programming.

I think YouTube, Udemy, and other video streaming services offer the best way to learn how to make games from scratch. You can find plenty of videos on game programming, using game engines, building 3D models, animating, writing a good story or characters, composing game music, etc.
