    Zombie would get defeated by Iron Golem regardless of what gear it uses unless we are talking about gear outside of vanilla Minecraft or modified gear with ridiculous stats which are not obtainable on Survival mode.

    Generally, that is true, but I think there are extremely rare circumstances when a zombie can defeat a golem, like if a zombie spawns with full diamond armor. It's unlikely to happen, but probably not impossible. Otherwise if your character, wearing full enchanted diamond armor, dies, maybe in a ravine or something, it's possible that a zombie could pick up your gear, and somehow engage in combat with an iron golem that you had spawned, but that situation is unlikely to happen as well unless you set it up that way. It would be especially difficult to take down a zombie that has protection and feather falling.
