    Looking for a good newer Sci-Fi MMORPG I could get into. NEwer the better, I am tired of signing up for games 2 years behind the curve lol.

    I am afraid that I do not have a free option for you. I just happen to know that Ryzom is one of the best sci-fi MMOs out there. It costs about ten dollars to play a month, which isn't terrible. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

    You sure picked an old thread:p. I have not played yet, but Global Agenda looks to be a cool MMOFPS/RPG. I think the best will be Star Trek Online.

    EVE Online. It may be old, but actually, it's still one of the best sci-fi MMORPGs out there. In fact, I can't really think of one that's better than what it does.

    He's asking for free, EVE isn't free. Star Trek online won't be free either. Try playing Dark Orbit, its not extremely new, its from 2008 I think.

    It seems like almost every sci-fi MMO is either P2P, shut down, action-oriented, or has you cooped up in a space ship in space the entire time, or it has combinations of those things.

    I would recommend Star Wars: The Old Republic and Star Trek Online. They're pretty fun free-to-play sci-fi MMORPGs.

    MechQuest is a single player game though. EpicDuel, created by the same company, would be a great choice since it is technically a sci-fi MMORPG.
