Grand Fantasia is a Free-to-play Fantasy-based 3D MMORPG by Aeria games. The setting of this game takes place in the world of Saphael. Like most F2P games, they have their own item shop which uses a type of currency called Aeria Points, or AP for short, which can only be bought with real money. The in-game currency uses copper, silver and gold where 100 copper = 1 silver and 100 silver = 1 gold
 
GF is commonly compared to Fiesta online, but of course, every game will have its own unique features to boast.
 
Players will start of by creating their character. Up to 3 characters can be created per server and there are 2 servers in GF, Alice and Siropas. Character customization is not gender-locked but only has a little bit of variety, so it’s very common to run into other players who look exactly like you. In the character creation screen, you are able to view the Classes that YOU WILL BE in the future, so that you can get the idea of how you will look like once you reach that stage. Note that it is not your starting armor.
 
Besides that, players will also get to choose and name their starting sprite. Before I continue, many will ask; what IS a sprite? The sprite system is one of the most unique features presented by Aeria Games. A sprite is something like your tamagochi (pet) which becomes your best (or your worst) buddy in your adventures. Throughout your adventure, your sprite will play a very big role to aid you in your journey, so it is vital to take good care of it and at the same time training it so that it can gain experience. Your sprite’s job is to collect raw materials and craft them into weapons/armor, depending on the type of sprite that you have. Besides that, your sprite can also salvage weapons/armor to produce rare raw materials, mostly used to craft the higher tier equipments. Another important duty of a sprite is alchemy. More about alchemy will be explained later. A player can have up to 3 sprites, one which you will obtain at the start of the game. Only the starting sprite can evolve, the other two is obtainable throughout the game and once it reaches its evolution level, it has to be released to the Sprite King.
 
Upon creating their character and their sprite, players will be brought to a place called Siwa Island, the land of newbies. There, players will be guided through a series of tutorial quests which basically teaches you the aspects of the game (the controls and hotkeys can be viewed under the guides section in-game). Once a Newbie reaches level 5, they will get to choose one out of 4 class advancement; -- Fighter, Hunter, Acolyte and Spellcaster. Once their desired class is chosen, players will have the option to travel to 3 different cities, Kaslow, Ilya, or Jale. Which one you choose does not matter much because later on, you will have access to all three main cities. So, choose your destiny – I mean destination, and how your path goes after that is up to you.

Now I will talk about the classes.
 
Fighters à Warriors at level 15, à either a Berserker or Paladin at level 30. 
At level 66: 
Berserkers à Warlord: hard damage dealers with acknowledgeable defense. Their main purpose is to deal supremely high damage to enemies in a short duration.
Paladin à Templar: THE tanks in the game. They have the highest defense among all other classes and they possess healing powers (though not as effective as necromancers or clerics and such) Their role is to tank the enemies as they have numerous skill which draws aggro.

Hunters à Archers at level 15 à either a Assassin or Ranger at level 30
At level 66:
Assassin à Darkstalker They are stealth killers, possessing the ability to become invisible and dealing brutal strikes to their enemy from behind. They are specialised in melee combat and have the ability to weild weapons on both hands.
Ranger à Sharpshooter specialised in ranged physical damage in which they deal damage to their opponents from afar. They are capable of using and specialising in guns and bows.

Acolyte à Priests at level 15 à wither a Cleric or Sage at level 30
At level 66:
Cleric à Prophet: the best healers in the game. They play an important role in party quests as well as PvP as they serve to keep their allies alive. Have weak attack and defense but they are able to deal magic damage to their opponents.
Sage à Mystic: Metamorphers. They possess the ability to transform into beasts to gain additional buffs. Balanced in attack and defense as well as in magic. However, not a very favourable class.

Spellcaster à Mage at level 15 à wither a Necromancer or Wizard at level 30
At level 66:
Necromancer à Demonologist: pure sorcerers, being able to summon Undead such as the Lich Mage to assist them in combat. They are specialised in casting debuffs and weakening the enemy. They have skills that can protect them from stun and is very useful against monsters that could do so.
Wizard à Archmage: the main magic damage dealer in the game. They are the masters of elemental powers and they have the ability to heal themselves too. Thus, their magic attack is very strong but at the expense of weak physical attack and defense.

Similar to other MMORPGs, the gameplay of GF is mostly based on quests and also some grinding. However, Aeria Games ensured that your grinding will not feel pointless. By grinding, players can obtain quests items which can be used to complete REP quests (repeatable) to earn even more experience and gold.
 
Alchemy: Alchemy can be carried out by local Alchemists or even your sprite! Alchemy by local Alchemists requires ingredients that can be found throughout the game and some in the General Store. Alchemy can be carried out to produce Talent Cards and Resonance Stones. Alchemy by sprite is another different story. Sprite alchemy only requires one material, alchemy clays. There are two types of alchemy clay, normal (O-clay) and magic (M-clay). O-clays are buyable at in-game shops, whereas M-clays can only be obtained through the item shop or from monthly newsletters.
 
Talent Cards: Used by your character to improve stats and also provide certain buffs. Correct combination of Talent Cards can provide better buffs.
 
Resonance Stones: Fix resonance stones into your weapons to provide it with attack bonuses such as fire damage, life steal, critical and many others. It also gives a nice glowing effect.
Fortification: Fortify your weapons using fortification scrolls to increase the attack or defense value of your weapon. Able to fortify an equipment up to 9 times.
 
GF is a game which can be enjoyed players take the game slowly, and not want to rush to reach the max level cap.
