I think it's not worth because I have higher priorities.

I even went to the extent of spending 2-3 thousand pounds on a single game and it closed down with a short notice. I stop'd spending thereafter and am currently playing free to play games like AQW, AQ3D and Realm Grinder.

In the name of supporting the game and its developer, I will throw them my wallet, but it's just for a "good" game only.

90% of the comments on this topic say it is a waste of time but I don't think so. If you find a game that is fun for you, it is a kind of hobby for you anymore. So buying an in-game item with real money is actually an investment for your hobbies. So, yes I bought.

There's a more optimistic way of viewing this.

For instance, I think when comparing buying in-game virtual currency to buying a subscription service (e.g. Twitch subscription, Photoshop Creative Cloud subscription, etc.), you get a better bargain out of in-game virtual currency though it largely depends on the game that you play. But I find it generally better than any kind of subscription service, because you can keep the virtual currency for as long as you want and save that currency until you find an in-game item you want to spend it on; while for a subscription, you have to make use of the time you're allotted.

Like for instance, when you buy in-game currency, you don't have to spend it immediately; you can buy the currency when there's a 50% deal offer and wait 6 months to finally use that currency. But when you buy a subscription service, like Photoshop, you might only use the service one or twice in a month, and it just feels like a waste.

Seems kind of expensive, but looks like a good investment.
