Ingame Chatbox improvements

Of course, there are a ton of things I'd like to see improved with the chat box. I'd like to be able to hide my chat box fully, but not hide any other part of the UI sometimes because I don't want to read chat. I'd also like to see buttons underneath the chat box for the PC interface for the convenience of adjusting the chat box size, hiding/displaying it, and clearing it. And of course, I'd like to see when my friends log on/off, what room I joined, etc.

 

is aq3d can join custom numberic room now??

 

put a navbar in chatbox like local | party | guild | world | trade and emotes.

 

I'd like to see different text varients, also an option to fully remove the textbox. Some time's i'd like to just endure seeing nothing but the game itself. No UI's or anything. I'm pretty sure people can use this option a cinematic mode for aqd3.

 

agreed with room numbers, so we know what dimension our friends are in when multiple dimensions of the same room are full like during new events, and so we can join a room number to play separately if we need some alone time or with a few specific friends

i think its there, just right-click on chatbox(?) thats enough for me as "quick" tab

 

I'd love a hide feature like in AQW

 

I want a feature where they have chat tabs. For example a tab for party chat, a tab for certain pms, etc. it makes the chat a bit organized and makes it easier for me to read

 

Why cant chat be seen on the top of each player it's just a chat bow like u have to check chatbox if u want to read messages

 

this is a great idea, it would be great to read the messages your friends sent to you when you were not in the game, it has nothing to do with it but I want to say it again, it would be great if the whisper appears in a separate tab

 

What does everyone think of the new chat bubbles? I think they're alright. It is really nice for seeing who said what. It makes it more personal I think. Not nearly as invasive as I thought they'd be.

 

One thing I'm not a fan of are the chat bubbles that appear above the player. It just gets in your way. I have bothered to check if you can just turn them off in settings, but maybe that's something I might do if there's an option to. I think it's silly to put ideas from a 2D game into a 3D game; it might be fine for some players, but I don't think a chat bubble fits well in a 3D game.

 

I believe there is a way to toggle them off. It is nice to see where a person is standing who said whatever. It's one of those things that might be nice in a certain circumstance but in another you might want to turn it off.

 

Yeah, there is a way to toggle it off. It's a bit annoying whenever you have to redownload the game (or when the game updates where it adds new hotkeys), because then you revert back to default settings. Would be nice if they added some config file independent of the game, and made it so that you can keep the settings, so then when you redownload the game, you still have the settings you kept.

 

That is an excellent idea. Sometimes I have to reinstall the game and I end up having to reconfigure all of my old settings. Everything has to be redone like sound volumes, shortcut icons, etc. It would be nice to not have to go back and fix it all over again.
