    Master is more for getting objectives like turrets on split pushing, dragons, barons, enemy camps,... While Garen is a fighter that does things in teamfights.

    I do not agree.
    You got 2 options with Master. One is to go and split push, one is to fight. If you choose to fight you can go for tanky Master Yi build. You will have damage from your Blade of the ruined king, and your sated devouver(you can get ie if you want to) You will be tanky from your others tanky items, you canget tanky boots, Dead man's plate (will also give you some damage), you can get omen, whatever you need.. You will be tanky, and you will still be able to deal a lot of damage(even if you choose fighting you can still go for full AD if you are really fed) In both ways you can carry fights.
    With Master you can push as well.
    With garen you can only be tank in fights which can die really easy, he has no ''get close'', he can't reach fed adc or apc like Master can. He isn't really great as Master. You can't split push as Garen.

    Garen is to strong now, with good build (Black cleaver, Thornmill, and HP) and if yi has garen's debuff, he will kill yi easy, also garen's silence can interrupt meditate and now dmg reduction for yi
