Need tips for beginner

hey m8, ive been playing runescape for a bit now and ive got a few things which will help you with combat, if you walk a little way from lumbridge u will find some cows. Also there will be a few guards before their killing goblins, firstly kill a few guards to get some amour and weapons etc which will be bronze and then kill the cows for hides and bank this will earn a lil money which will get u on ur way. As level then yes I recommend killing cows as mentioned above and when you get a little higher (say level 30 ish) then start killing guards at Varrock or Faladore and if you want some free runes then attack the mages in front of Varrock by the stone circle thing. After you get pretty good (not needed but recommended), you should try to make your way for the Fist of Guthix minigame in the wilderness which is my favorite training place . Once your around the 60's maybe 70's, the game becomes boring and easy for free players and I would recommend going member. Hope I help

 

Mage is the best skill to train, but the runes are a bit pricy. but really, the only rune that is expensive on free players is Death Rune, which you use around level 40. So start out as a mage. I spend half my time woodcutting, half my time killing.

If you would like to PvP, go with a Str pure build, or If you want this account to be your main just continue like you are now, the people above have helpful tips. And also for moneymaking, smithing is incredible. Just smith bronze and sell it on the Grand Exchange, then move on to Steel,(skip iron, you lose money). Check the RS wiki for guides and stuff it helps alot.

 

start killing cows and take their hides too, the money you generate will be helpful later on when buying equipment

 

Woodcutting, mining, and fishing are three very good skills to work with when your a low level and looking to earn money. Neither one of them really requires much work, just a couple clicks and then go bank it. You can use the money from these to go buy either bow/arrows for range or runes for magic. Personally I don't like training attack, way too many people play melee and if you do something different you will be much stronger than the majority of players, you'll see in PvP if you try. Plus range and magic can be used from a distance which can give you an advantage in some quests or when doing all sorts of things really.
