    I feel like I've already asked this, but are we going to establish a general concept/background/premise before actually creating so that we don't end up with urban sprawl?

    Actually, I was planning on starting some graphic maps for the city tonight. I'll post them here when I finish :)

    EDIT: The main plan is to have a main square (probably where players respawn for the most part), and then have 4 streets off of it (east-west, north-south, and the two diagonals).

    The diagonal streets shall be less of main roads, and shall have things such as shady weapons dealers, bounty hunter jobs, that sort of dark stuff, along with some residential areas and cheaper item dealers. (Some alleyways will branch off of these too, with some creepy bad guy NPCs who like to stab you in the back and take your stuff.)

    The two main roads shall have the more lavish stuff, like that really rare antique weapons shop, the Royal House, and the Four Gates which lead out of the city (which will likely be closed until the city is complete, since that is the first goal to complete).

    I think we should leave the MUD option open and continue waiting for a reply, and we could go and establish a new MUSH in the meantime and not delete the old one if we can help it, as it'll be decent for training/practicing/prototyping/whatever so we don't accidentally break the new one. If it's necessary, though, then killing the old MUSH should be fine. It's not as if we got very far. :)

    On the subject of combat, which I think was one of the pluses of MUDs, I found a PennMUSH system that someone wrote:

    ThunderCombat V2.1

    I've skimmed the various strings in here, and it seems pretty well-done. Perhaps we could implement something similar to this--it's pretty much a full PvP system with some nice admin commands.

    Looks fine with me. You should be able to install it with your wizard Noche, I don't have a proper client that can process all of that without exploding.

    (Just @tel to room #2 [it should be labeled Globals or something similar. Might be room 0 or 1 if 2 is wrong), and copy paste all that.

    EDIT: I'll try it now.

    Okay, so I've been looking into it a little more. I can't seem to find a real guide anywhere, so for now I'm copying and pasting the TC help files into a Word document. Would you like me to post it on the staff group or just PM it to you directly?

    I haven't caught Krew recently to ask, but I believe it is. If not, Krew just doesn't have the host up. We're still in the layout stages.
