    It's 'in-development'. There are multiple volunteers who said they will help, and I plan to get back into it when I can. (Probably going to devote a large amount of time to it during summer break so it at least has a found basis to build off of that is playable.)

    Did you ever have any time to draw the layout of the main city, or will we start from scratch again?

    I had to format my computer so I don't have anything but the basic cross that I finished building in the MUD (building locations weren't marked either...)
    -----------
    I wonder if it really is necessary to have the players all be Ogres...coding in the seperate races and factions will be a huge pain, I just know it. Maybe we could have all the NPCs be Ogres, but the players could be immigrants into the city/country if they didn't wish to be Ogres? Then we would be much more free to select a different codebase as well...the only real plus I had about the CoffeeMUD base is the editing power of the skills and classes...but with that power comes a lot less of ease of creation and you have to do a lot more before the MUD can be started and ready to play.

    What do you think?

    PROS: Capturable Land
    Factions and Races easy to set up. Still possible in other MUDbases!

    CONS: BIG file compared to others. Free 24/7 hosts we need all the space we can get.
    Java
    It is a huge pain to set up anything. Even the most basic potion has to have about 3-4 variables set on it for it to do anything. And there are no stock items at all.

    I like the current class system they have already, personally. We'd have to fiddle a little bit but overall having it premade makes stuff somewhat easier.

    Then again, I have next to no experience with CoffeeMUD, so I'm just about the furthest thing from an authority here. XD

    Look at AFKmud's feature list. It has an overland map, so we could easily put seperate dungeons on it...and some other good features as well.

    No, what you do is kill some to gain noob stats, run out and level a bunch, then come back and obliterate them. This is presuming we have a stats system like the old MUD, that is... XD
