Other Weapons

Apart from the main weapons, there are other weapons in AVA. These include pistols, grenades and knives. They can be wielded by any class of any rank, and are carried with the main weapons into battle. Pistols, grenades, and knives all have their own slots, and can all be chosen with a designated hotkey. Some pistols are SMGs, so have a high rate of fire.

This grenade is generally used in total demolition and clean-up ops in sealed area and so is highly effective against enemies hiding in bunkers, buildings, or fortress like complexes. In A.V.A., MK3A2 has an additional effect of blurring an enemy's sight by inflicting retinal damage when exploding, meaning it is both a normal grenade, and a flash grenade.

Explanations of Keywords:

Damage - How much HP each bullet hit from the gun takes off. Headshots will take more HP, and shots to limbs, hands, feet, etc will take off less HP.

Range - How far each bullet can go in a game before it disappears. In other words, how far the gun can shoot.

Accuracy - How much bullets will go to where you point your gun at. Affects size of the crosshair.

Stability - How much recoil a gun has. Basically, how much your crosshair/gun barrel moves every time you shoot a bullet.

Mobility - How fast you can move with the gun. High mobility means you will move faster.

Rate of Fire - How many bullets the gun can shoot in a space of time. Basically, how fast it shoots. Automatic guns will be higher, single-fire guns will be much lower.

Ammo - How many total bullets you carry into battle with the gun. Basically, how many shots you get before you run out of bullets for the gun completely. The amount listed is only the maximum amount the gun can have inside it at any time. The player also carries reserve ammo, to reload the gun when it is emptied. Reserve ammo is always the listed amount doubled. For grenades, however, most do not have reserve ammo. Also, knives do not use ammo for obvious reasons.

Price - How much it costs to buy the weapon, whether using the in-game currency Euros, or the in-game currency that can be bought with real money, G coins.

Rank - The rank you have to have achieved in-game to be allowed to purchase the weapon, if a rank requirement is needed.

Capsules - The capsule system is like a jackpot system. Certain rare weapons can only be gotten through capsules. In-game, you can find two capsule machines in a menu, with a number at the bottom right of them. Each capsule machine starts with either 200 (costing 20 G coins each) capsules, or 499 (costing 10 G coins each). Each machine contains a rare weapon. Each capsule contains a useful item as well, so you always get something. As people buy capsules from a machine, the chance of winning the rare weapon increases for everyone. The machine resets once someone has won the rare weapon.

Explanations of Keywords:

Damage - How much HP each hit from the weapon takes off. For guns/knives, headshots will take more HP, and shots to limbs, hands, feet, etc will take off less HP. For explosions, the closer you are to the centre of the explosion, the more HP is taken off.

Range - For guns, how far each bullet can go in a game before it disappears. In other words, how far the gun can shoot. For grenades, how far the grenade can be thrown (note that adjusting the height of the angle that you throw at will cause the overall range to increase/decrease). Knives are melee weapons, therefore range is far away the target can be before the knife will not hit them when swung.

Accuracy - How much bullets will go to where you point your gun at. Affects size of the crosshair. Does not apply to grenades.

Stability - How much recoil a gun has. Basically, how much your crosshair/gun barrel moves every time you shoot a bullet. Does not apply to grenades.

Mobility - How fast you can move while carrying the object. High mobility means you will move faster.

Rate of Fire - How many bullets the gun can shoot in a space of time. Basically, how fast it shoots. Automatic guns will be higher, single-fire guns will be much lower. For knives, how fast you can swing the knife. A grenade needs to have the pin pulled out, and is then thrown, rate of fire doesn't apply to grenades.

In A.V.A., MK3A2 has an additional effect of blurring an enemy's sight by inflicting retinal damage when exploding, meaning it is both a normal grenade, and a flash grenade.
