NGames release a bundle of in-game images for their upcoming MMO

NGames have unleashed the biggest haul of in-game screenshots yet for their upcoming anime-inspired MMO, Pockie Ninja, due for release Q1, 2011.

With the much anticipated beta phase drawing ever closer, award-winning publishers NGames have revealed a bounty of in-game images for Pockie Ninja, their upcoming MMO inspired by fan favourite anime hits.

World Tournament

National League

Pockie Ninja ranks players by their accumulated score, assigning them to a special National League that only their rank can compete in.
Fighters are organised into C, B, A and S-ranks, depending on their overall score. The most elite players who win the S-rank league are eligible to qualify for the tough-as-nails W-rank Championship, pitting the best of the best in deadly, heart-pounding combat to see who comes out victorious. NGames show off the dynamic class system for their anime MMO

NGames have revealed more details about the unique and dynamic class system for their upcoming anime-inspired MMO, Pockie Ninja.

Unlike most other MMOs, Pockie Ninja does away with the rigid class system and instead allows players to freely change their classes and fighting style.
No longer will players be stuck as a character they are bored with, because Pockie Ninja’s class system keeps the game fresh and fun throughout.

By equipping different outfits, players can change into one of three ninja classes, each boasting its own weapon and fighting style.

The three schools of ninja emerged from the many battles fought between the game's five villages, each developing a different understanding of Nindo - the way of the ninja.

The strongest class in Pockie Ninja is the Fighting Ninja, who use their superior might and rock solid resilience to take down their foes. The Fighting Ninja’s weapon of choice is the Blunt weapon, which they wield with deadly accuracy and force. Naruto’s Gaara and Bleach’s Grimmjow are great examples of these proficient martial artists.

Unlike the Fighting Ninja, the Dark Ninja is master of stealth and assassination. Cloaked in shadows, this swift and deadly character spies on its foes and strikes without warning using its Sharp weapon.
Ichigo Kurosaki, the main character in Bleach, and Itachi Uchiha from Naruto are two fantastic Dark Ninjas examples.

Yet neither the Fighting Ninja nor the Dark Ninja have access to the potent special techniques of the Secret Ninja, who has mastered powerful ninjitsu after years of dedicated research.

All that time studying must have paid off, because the Secret Ninja is a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield, using secret techniques to devastating effect. Secret Ninjas prefer to use their fists as their weapon of choice.

Famous Secret Ninjas include Naruto Uzumaki and Bleach’s Toushiro Hitsu***a.

Players can choose their initial character and class according to their own preferences but may change it later, whether to suit a different play style or just freshen up combat because they want a new experience. Publisher NGames have released more details for their upcoming browser-based brawler, this time detailing the 50 special skills and “ hidden ninjutsu†techniques players can use in combat.

Staying true to the game's heavy focus on customisation, Pockie Ninja players will be able to mix and match a wide variety of skills from 10 different categories before they enter battle, allowing them to build a ninja that both kicks ass and completely suits their style of play.

Pockie Ninja's 50 battle skills are each divided into 10 different categories: fire, water, earth, lightning, wind, body technique, ninja tool, sealing technique, illusionary technique, and healing.
With each skill offering unique combat perks and benefits, players can build and constantly tweak their own personal repertoire of explosive techniques, customising it before, and even during, every battle.

At launch, each of the 10 categories will contain 5 skills to be mastered, including a basic default skill that's available from the beginning, as well as 4 battle skills that players will need to learn in-game.

Anime-inspired ninja fun comes in many shape and sizes in the world of Pockie Ninja, with the meat of the action happening in the Arena.

Here, players will go head-to-head with each other and have to use a steady mix of skill, cunning, and tactical foresight to succeed. Players can even synthesize any two of their collected items before a fight for unexpected (and hopefully battle useful!) results, as well as change their outfit to take on the role and abilities of another class, or “School of Ninjaâ€, doing away with the usual rigid class system you see in many other MMO's.
With so many customisation options on offer, every fight will in Pockie Ninja will be a unique, user-driven experience.

Earning wins in the Arena will help players fly up Pockie Ninja's 7 ranks: Elementary, Junior, Senior, Undergraduate, Head teacher, Discipline Master and Principal; as well as reward them with the opportunity to take on bosses, earn medals to exchange for new outfits and items, and pick up lavish in-game rewards.

In Pockie Ninja, fights aren't just contained to single, one-on-one encounters. NGames Detail Pockie Ninja's Various Game Modes

Anime brawler shows it's about more than fisticuffs

NGames have revealed the varied & fun gameplay modes on offer in their recently released anime MMO, Pockie Ninja. While cooling down from the Naruto/Bleach inspired battles, players can explore the wilderness for rare items, take part in group/solo quests, capture powerful pets, take part in smashing (literally!) lotteries, synthesize items, and more!

Even ninjas need to take a break from fighting every once in a while.

With Pockie Ninja now in open beta, publisher NGames have revealed more information about the browser-based brawler's various gameplay modes, including everything from wilderness exploration and jar smashing mini games, to mob quests and pet training.

Exploring the great outdoors comes with many rewards in the Pockie Ninja universe. Besides performing storyline related quests where players must help protect Angel City from the evil spilling out of Demon City's walls players can also search for special areas hidden within the beautiful in-game scenery.

Finding and clicking these areas will trigger random special events for budding ninjas to complete, rewarding them with items, equipments, pets, stones, EXP and more.

Be careful though: just like combining items, your synthesis attempts won't always be successful, especially when trying to make a high level pet higher!

Luckily NGames have also revealed the Ninja Diary, which helps players keep track of all-things Pockie Ninja progress. The Ninja Diary details the quests a player has completed, quests available for them to take on, new content, daily information and more.
