    In my opinion, thresh has the most fun and interactive kit of all supports in game, he can do anything, poke, engage, disengage, save people, pick people off, teamfight, peel... jack of all trades, but master of none :D

    Looking at teamfights, its relatively harder to get a pick with Rakan than with Thresh however due to the high mobility of Rakan in team fights and the hard CC thanks from his W and R, I will say Rakan has the upper hand. In protecting the ADR, most of Thresh's kit can disrupt the engage on his ADR which is much more reliable than just a shield.
