What do you think about the release of so many low-quality battle royale games? Game developers thought they could gain money from those games but so many of them were not able to become popular like PUBG or Fortnite. Well, the reason is clear for me because almost all of them are inattentive and low-quality games.

I think the phenomenon is more of a trend. When there's huge success in general, there's bound to be imitators and, in the case with video games, new games that will try to ride the success of a popular genre or game, and some of those games aren't going to be as great as the game that built the most success. It's sort of like how when Minecraft became popular, there was an explosion of voxel/sandbox clones, or how when Flappy Bird became popular, people developed their own version. It's something that's to be expected for many genres, not just battle royale.

Flappy Bird is a great example to show. Popularity kills the imagination.

Yeah, with Flappy Bird, there were a lot of imitators; when you have such a brilliant idea, so many people will want to borrow that same idea. That's pretty much the parallel with Fortnite, where you also have imitators, although it hasn't been that bad. I feel like Flappy Bird was worse since the game was so simple, but what makes battle royales different is their complexity.
