Ok, Minecraft now has a new mod.
Wow has a new mod with Ax taking over there.
Ok, since it is easier to do this in Xenforo than it was Vbulletin, removed all mods who stop either posting or logging in. Nobody needs to be a mod of a forum unless they come all the time.
Also, we have a new user group for Royal Mods. These are the mods that are constantly here, moderate the whole forum, and stay active in their modding duties.
If needed, i can extend my mod power to entire MOBA forum, or mby even more
Maybe on the main MOBA forum. Not sure if we are going to have a single forum mod for that one, but you would be at the top of the list if we do.
However, you can have any of the MOBA subforums that are not being modded if you can mod them like you are your current one.
I dont have same knowledge on DoTA and HoS, but i can do basic stuff.
I can be mod in Dota subforum, since I have large experience, has been playing dota 5 years
Well can you stay around to mod it and add content to it etc?
Is there some free forum for me ?
If u asked me, i can do all of that, but if u want me as mod, i will let u know when i can start, till i find net after moving (hopefully this weekend ) i wont be active as now or before, and i dont wana to be inactive mod.
If u need mod fast, u can consider Garagos, i believe that he can do the job, and u can add me later if more mods needed.
Thats fine. We do need mods who will not just mod there forums but also add content and contribute etc. Yea, let me know when you can do that.
Think we probably need a trial period for those who have never modded before. That should help with some of the stuff we have encountered thus far.
I will let u know.
How about to use VS forum for trial period run ? I can impact there fast if something go wrong, also that is mby easiest place to learn basic stuff, because most duplicated threads are right there.
Also am here to help new mods, and guide them if they have any problems.
In case that something bigger came up, i know that Pure will help too
Can I apply for any of the forums ?
Maybe the best ones that I take care about them are Free Games, Counter Strike or MOBA forum
Do u have any experience with moderating forum so far ?
Not to pick on you but this doesn't instill much confidence as it was said just a few posts above that MOBA is a special case. Reading is very important. That said, I suppose everyone deserves a chance. Counter Strike would probably be the best bet. It's up to Ogre though.
As said they really need content more than anything. News, threads etc I think it would be a good place to start and then as Ogre said if a MOBA mod is added down the road you'd definitely be at the top of the list.
Its not that hard to post news, just follow site and place most important things. I can do that for HoS and for SMITE, those games at least i tried and have some knowledge about them, However if i do that for dota it will be almost simple copy-paste, because i didnt even watch gameplay for that that game, and have 0 knowledge about that game
If u think that u can do it, then there is no need to give up, just start small and go toward bigger things
I started in VS forum, and i took me time to learn basics, pure and Aaddron, helped me A LOT on beginning, and now all looks quite easy, u can do the same if u want
Hm,as I said,i have playing Dota for 4,5 years,so
I'm sorry you feel that way. That was not the point. It's perhaps stronger than intended. Lack of reading is a HUGE issue around here and someone making that type of mistake while applying to be part of preventing that is naturally not a good start... even if it's not *super* clear. The point being it's important to avoid that to a human degree especially Mods.
Yea, lets try to keep the negative stuff out of threads like this please. That said, the best thing may be to ask me via PM instead of in a thread or in chat. I am the one who decides and adds the mods anyway lol.
Here is what needs to be done if you want to stay a mod here and possibly take on more and bigger forum.
1. Start with one small to medium forum that is not currently being modded.
2. This forum should be something you should have an interest in.
3. Moderate, add content, and even run the trivia if it has one.
4. Keep this up for weeks or months.
After doing those, then you can ask for a second forum.
Want to get started on your first? PM me which forums you are interested in and then we can go from there.
