Should Flying be implemented on AQ3D?

    By flying i mean, using "equippable items" like, wings, broomsticks. Etc..
    I mean. It would be sooo amazing imo.

    Another addition to this is, portals. Using portals should cost some gold. So players will take time travelling and walking. Than losing ka-ching$

    I don't think flying should be added because of three reasons:
    1. It'll make the game too easy because you can avoid monsters easily.
    2. AE will need to put in loads of collision around the map so people don't escape the map.
    3. It's just too messy, if every player started flying around.

    I think we can have gliding and hovering though. It would be nice if the Red Dragon travel forms had a slow gliding descent instead of an abrupt one; that would make building parkour fun (like reaching Yulgar's Inn from the Museum roof).

    Yes but I definitely agree with Snowy.The game has walls and meshes for a reason if you fly above an beyond it practically breaks the game. So no, flying shouldn't be implemented in the game.

    I honestly want it so bad, but what Snowy said is true. Lets wait 2-3 years till the game is mature enough to implement such things alike

    Flying could be a special mechanic for specific maps, like ashfall that have those floating islands, would be cool to use a dragon or something as a way to access them, but as feature in the whole game i dont think it would work

    Flying is only good for real open world game.
    AQ3D is just pseudo open world game with small maps and it will make more trouble than the benefits. So no.

    They way AE has made this game, flying doesn't really feel like a good idea because AQ3D isn't a truly open world game.

    Of course... and that's why we have buildings and other objects that we can climb onto instead. Flying would really just eliminate a lot of exploration, especially when it comes to searching for exploration scrolls. Like instead of players climbing up the construction building in Battleon, they would be able to fly up there which is no fun.

    As you have stated before, fun is subjective. Maybe some people would like to fly and reach things with more ease but exploration does suffer greatly. I really liked the way we had to do platforming to reach most of the exploration titles. I do think too that implementing flying will just undermine exploration experience which is important part of MMORPGs so doing it would be bad for the game.
