I changed the color of the error message to DarkRed. I hope this is easier on the eyes.
also if you ever had time i think a key for the map would be a great idea!
atm i don't know where my town i conquared is xD but i can get to it...
a key would work great for the bonus view which has a lot of small icons
OMG that is perfect now! makes a huge difference
I see you conquered a region, because I see you in the rankings now.
btw thanks for your helping out in the beta Jared. Thanks to your help I already made 2 fixes to the game and were only in the first day.
You should be able to see your town in the city view as soon as you build a watchtower, or something like a market.
I'm glad it's better
I cant seem to turn the music off once i turned it on :S
I'm not sure what you mean with a key. Could you elaborate?
if you go to the map and press B, you will go to the bonus view
the keys are the same as the first letter in the link
hmmm that's odd
Have you tried the link in the preferences? Or else if you have turned it of already, you could refresh, hopefully that should take care of it.
Or do you mean, you want a stop, pause and play button for the background music?
all maps have keys
What is a map key
oh osrry found it xD
no i just wanted to find how to turn it off again i couldnt find it xD
Maybe change the movement keys for moving armies? (they aren't really laptop-friendly atm, actually I can't play with a laptop at all)
ah you mean a map legend!
Excellent suggestion that... I'll add a legend tomorrow. You can however find the matching icons in the guide, but yes it would indeed be better to put a legend in the map. Or perhaps a help link that goes to a page that explains the icons.
what kind of laptop do you have? because most ordinary laptops have numpads.
I can't use the ordinary arrows, because these are normally used for scrolling. So I'm kind of stuck using the keys on the numpad. I could also add the ordinary number keys, like 2, 4, 6 and 8, or use the u, d, l, r keys, because those aren't used for the links to the other map views.
But are you sure it is your laptop that's causing the problems and not something like I dunno your browser (seems a bit far fetched but you never know for sure)?
I also found a bug in the tax collection part of the cronjob script, that will need fixing. Thankfully the army turns update does work fine. I also found an error in the disaster message system. The typhoon does not seem to work the way it should. The rains do work, because I can see those in the weather view.
I probably need to add this to the FAQ section in the guide, because if you stumbled upon this, then I'm sure others will too.
You see its this kind of stuff that I can't do on my own. You're really good helper.
I have added a legend to the bonuses view and the terrain view. I also fixed a few bugs, but found a new one. The marriages section won't show characters in the proposal.
When the diplomacy works, I will move on to construction and technology. And when that's done battles, assassinations and espionage.
Debugging seem to go quick with your help.
you can now use the, u,d,l,r keys for movement. I hope this will make it work for your laptop.
Shugo how can i get more koku?
Build a ricepaddy, or teafield, or fishing wharf, or other commercial buildings like a weavery etcetera and then wait for taxes to come in (taxes are collected every 24 hours).
If you have built any of those buildings already and you're not getting any koku, please report that to me, because that shouldn't be happening.
So far the teafield and fishing wharf seem to work fine, but I haven't tested the others yet.
Keep in mind that at some terrain types you cannot build any of those buildings (most notably some mountain regions).
If you ran out of koku and you have not build any of those buildings, you're in a bit of a problem. If this is the case, say so, since it is a beta I can send you some extra koku.
