Who here has experience in Visual Basic?
I did some of it in high school and 1st year of college
Is it easy? One of the new games will be in that. I may have to learn it myself to add to the game.
Well the basics are pretty easy, but anything more complex is a pain in the ass
Would making or editing a game fall in that category?
depends of a game and how would it look like
we actually made a mini quiz game during high school and it was tricky
It will be an Online RPG.
Yes, and the bigger the game is, more pain in the ass it is going to be xD
I tried my hands on visual basic. The basics are easy, but anything beyond that isn't easy.
what makes visual basic so hard after the first stages?
well syntax is what you get accustumed to fairly easy, but if you want to code the visual you need a lot of math, which unfortunately isn't one of my strong points
Visual Basic was the easiest language for me to learn, because you could simply click and drag components (label, buttons, etc.) on to the form, and even fill in the properties. The coding was fairly easy to learn, but what I really liked about Visual Basic was the GUI. I think the first game I created in Visual Basic was rock, paper, scissors.
