    Warwick jungle guide.

Heyo! And welcome to my Warwick guide. Why should you read this guide? Because if you have read this far, you must still be looking for some sort of advice on the puppydog of the jungle. Advice and guidance that I have.
Why Warwick? Because he has a huge amount of damage, high tanking ability's, and support for your team, and isn't all that hard to pick up. Great for the first time junglers, and even the veteran jungles.
Why did I go to Warwick now? After the last change to the jungle single target jungles are use-able again. While Ww was fine in season two, aoe jungles just outclassed his poor clear times. And he is a great counter to many of the current jungles as it is. Your ult ganks are better than Vi's, and you can do more of them, you are able to fight Lee, and Xin within reason. J4 can't hardly touch you, and your counter ganks on him make him regret ever using his ult.
And as always, your jungle is incredibly safe, And because of that, you can turn that into lane pressure.

    Runes
    Generic jungle runes.
Attack speed red for your passive.
Armor yellows for the jungle camps.
Blues can be either mr per level, or flat armor. I have been loving the flat armor lately because of all the ad based mid champs. 6.3 armor may not seem like that much, but it still gives you 110 extra physical hp in your early game.
You can run whatever quints you want, but like the feel of attack damage best. Movement quints good as well.

    Summoner Spells
Flash just for how good it is. Unlike a lot of jungles nowdays, you have no abilities that can get you over a wall other than your ult. And that is only if someone is on the other side. And there isn't many things as scary as a Flash Ult Ww gank.

Smite.Because you are jungle. Even if you don't NEED it, it keeps objectives in your paws

    Skills
    Passive: Eternal Thirst

    Explanation:
This is really the heart of Warwick. It helps you sustain in the jungle, and win trades with the extra damage, and healing.Â

    Q: Hungering Strike

    Explanation:
Often referred to as his "bread and butter" And that it is. It is a simple one target flat damage, or percent damage nuke. And one of the reasons why Ww is so good currently is this hp stacking meta. Maxed first because of how well it scales.

    W: Hunters Call

    Explanation:
A simple skill. Gives attack speed to you, and your allies. Great for pushing towers, taking camps, winning trades ect. Maxed last.

    E: Blood Scent

This is your initiation. Truly an amazing skill. Jumps you to the target for a 1.8 second suppression. Just be aware that you cannot cast spells or use items while ulting. Applying on hit effects makes your mid game ganks with your Blade of the Ruined King a nightmare for the other team. Remember that it applys Red Buff on the target. Leveled when you can.

    Item Builds:
Machete+pots is your basic safe jungle opener. Try to get your level one boots, and Razor by your first back. If your first pre-six ganks are successful, you can skip Razor, and go right into your Cutless for extra ganking power. Just remember that you are giving up some jungle control when you do this.

So why the Botrk before a major defensive item? Because if your mid game ganks went well, no one on the other team should be able to solo you as it is. It makes your ult ganks a nightmare, gives you an extra slow, and great Dragon control. The last change to Botrk replaces all other core attackspeed items that Ww needed.
Use your discretion on your Gients belt item. Most of the time I get Warmogs myself just to make sure I survive that ult onto the carry in the mid game team fights.
After that pick up a pseudo tank/damage item. Then another tank item depending on how the game is going. There is no plug and chug build to tanking. You have to look for the threats.

    Early Game:
Starting blue is the general start. Getting a lease on wolfs, and blue is always a huge plus. If you get a lease try to save your smite for red. If you are not getting a lease(Rare, but it happens) just start blue, and smite it off. Then clear your small camps, then red.
After red always look for a gank. If your lanes are pushing do not bother trying. With no gap closers it is a waste of time. Just farm to six. But if you can be involved in first blood pre-six it will get you rolling very fast.
If the enemy jungle tries to invade your jungle go kick them you. You are top dog on your own turf.

    Mid Game:
At this point you should have had at least one successful gank. If it is clear that your mid is going to be just farming still take your own blue. Your presence in other lanes is going to be more use of blue than your mid lane just using it for farming.
Try to pick up a few wards for objectives such as dragon, and potential invades.
But in general try to gank on ult cd.
For fighting in the mid game fights, just remember. Even if you CAN ult someone, does not mean you should. Look for someone easy for your team to bust, and out of position, and lead in. You should be able to take a decent amount of damage at this point. But you are not going to be as tanky as a top lane, or a full tank jungle.
Watch the map, and look for easy single targets to catch out. Much of the time you can kill them without ult just by having a redbuff, and Bilgwater/Botrk.

    Late Game:
At this point you should still be able to solo most of the people on the other team if the match has gone fairly well. Thanks to your W your team should be incredible at taking objectives. Look for towers, and Baron if the other team is to far out of position to respond in time.
If your team is behind, and you are doing fairly well, you can attempt to split push. Your wave clearing is quite slow, but you take turrets in a matter of seconds with your W.
Your team fights are played the same as the mid game ones. Try to ult onto the carries when your team can follow up. Or stop people from making plays onto your carries. Try to peel targets with your Botrk, or to chase them down depending. It is a huge effect. Remember to use it. Your use of Q is pretty huge at this point. Q a carry for damage, or a large hp target for a massive heal.

    Jungling:
For a few more jungle tips.

Right after you take blue, if you notice that the other jungle has ganked, look for an invade. Another reason to save your smite. Go in, QW Smite when low, and take your prize, and get out. If for some reason your Flash is down, I do not suggest invading because if you get caught, the other team has a habit of reacting better than your team does.

For your pre-six ganks, the side lanes are much easier to gank than mid because of how long they are. Try to focus on ganking them at this point. Mid lane is normally a waste of time unless they have a lot of Cc that they are able to hit. Normally it is better to just farm to six, then ganking mid is an easy task.

As a jungle, it is mostly up to you to make dragon calls. If the enemy bot lane has been killed, then dragon is quite safe. If both lanes are still alive, tell your teammates to push out before attempting to take dragon. If the other team tries coming in while your team is trying to take dragon, it is often best to just back off. There is no need to give out un-needed kills.

When ganking look to see if your teammate is in a position to follow you in, and has the intention to follow up BEFORE ulting onto the enemy. If it is clear that your teammate is not going to help, then look elsewhere for a gank. You should be able to get a kill for your team almost every time with your ult. Also, try to chain your Cc with your teammate for the best effect.

When ganking/teamfighting for skillshot champions such as Lux, ult first on clear high priority targets so they can land their Cc. Try to be aware of their Cd's. If they just used their spells, wait until you are sure they are back up. If they just spam out their spells, tell them to wait until you ult.

As a jungle you will often take a lot of flack if the game goes bad. Not arguing is always the best option. I have seen many easy games lost just because someone called X a noob for X reason, then X responded to Y when it was not needed. Communication is key, but you don't need to tell someone they suck. As the jungle you have an important lead role for quite a bit of the game.

Keep an eye on your minimap at all times. Knowing who is where is half the battle musch of the time.

If you notice a lane not warded, or that your teammate pink warded their lane, try to gank that lane. You should have little excuse to not get kills if your teammates follow up with you.

You are tanky, but turrets still hurt early levels. Remember that.(Obvious advice is obvious. But try to keep that in mind when you are out for blood.)
