    IE = best display, but also the slowest to load pages
    FF = bad display (no negative z-index, form features are not supported good), but is quick to load pages
    Opera = really bad display (bad support of form features and no support at all of transparancy in gif pictures), quickest to load pages

    so you can say I use IE, because I prefer good display of the page over quick loadtime

    it's only certain pages/sites with lots of flash adverts and where a decent display of the pages isn't that important, but fast loading is. for tvgids.nl and lordsgame.com I prefer FF, anything else though I really prefer IE

    Opera I have, but I don't use, except for testing my own site. I haven't bothered to use Chrome yet.

    in general you can say that the faster the browser loads the pages, the worse the display of that page is.

    Safari is starting to grow on me, it seems faster than FF and does a lot of the same things.

    Now I'm a FireFox Fan, for fast loading pages.
    Don't know about safari yet (apple?) and haven't tried IE 8.

    IE 8 is basically 7 with a little different look and it seems faster. Yeah Safari is made by Apple it's basically there IE for Mac... except it works in Windows too.

    Also check out Google Chrome if you haven't already. Chrome and Safari seem to be the fastest browsers out there at least in benchmarks. Still prefer FF though can't wait for 3.5 ^^

    According to the benchmarks... I ran them myself to check too Safari is faster than Chrome but going by just using both of them Chrome seems to be the faster one.

    I assure you that's it's perfectly safe to download and use Firefox if you so choose. At one point there was talks about packaging Firefox into Windows 7... AND the idea came from Microsoft so that should tell you that it's safe enough to use... but Mozilla(creator of Firefox)declined. If you want to stick with IE great, it's came along way and is becoming a pretty good browser... be sure to use IE 8.

    I use FF, IE and Chrome to test my apps in, but my favorite by FAR is Google Chrome. Ajax apps (like my game) run about 2x as fast.
