What mode do you play?

    I usually play on a survival multiplayer server with just a few friends (< 5 people).

    At the start we used all kinds of mods. We played on peacefull, cheated all our items, used mods that made building easier by giving the option to fill an area with a certain kind of blocks for example, we also used teleports and warps to get around quickly. (I'm not running the server so I don't know which mods exactly we used)

    Lately we stopped using mods however. We only have a minecart mod (with stations, booster blocks,.. so you don't have to make these boosters that use other carts all over the place). We play on normal difficulty and don't cheat our items anymore. Teleport commands are disabled for everyone except the server admin, and he rarely uses it (when he does it's usually to get someone else out of trouble xD).

    The map we're playing on now is made with the planetoids map generator.

    Nice, I know the one server play on has some sort of MMO thing enabled. Like you can go up levels in woodcutting and excavation and mining and stuff, similar to Runescape in a way. It's pretty cool because it gives you something to work on if your bored and don't mind a bit of grinding. But yeah, we don't have any other cheating item mods, I think those kind of ruin the purpose of the game in a way so I'm glad about that. :)

    For single player I play on Hard.. I like interacting with creepers. :p

    heh yea "interacting" with creepers is fun xD

    I'm kind of interested if you know what the name of the "MMO thing" mod is that you have enabled on the server you play on. Could you maybe ask whoever manages it about that?

    Hm, I've never heard of that one. It sounds pretty great. :D

    I generally play multi with a bunch of friends, but on occasion I'll bum around in my original single-player snow map. We used to have a bunch of mods installed, but after a server wipe the guy running it decided that the majority of them made the game too easy. Right now I think we only have Craftbook, Minecart Mania, and Magic Carpet...

    Survival. Peaceful. Sometimes easy for supplies than back.

    Additional settings I love but hardly ever use:
    Runecraft Mod (requires MP...but it's by-far my favorite mod)
    Skylands Custom Map (But only if it's on a server using Runecraft).

    Yeah, Classic has been getting phased out for a while and Survival is getting so many advanced features that it's really eclipsing the old game.
