What would you like to see in a future redstone update?

Redstone is one of the most useful items in Minecraft, allowing the player to build logic and create complex systems. What sort of things would you like to see in a future redstone update?

Probably the biggest thing I would like to see would be logic gate blocks; it seems like a no-brainer. So instead of building complicated redstone contraptions to represent logic gates, why not have the logic encapsulated to just a single block? I feel like you could create a lot of compact builds from this sort of idea, and who knows, maybe it'll even be useful in Minecraft: Education Edition to teach people about logic.

The other thing I would probably want to see is a new type of redstone that isn't distance-dependent (15 blocks). Like maybe combine Lapis Lazuli with Redstone to craft a new material called Bluestone, or something along those lines, and give it the unique property of infinite signal strength (though there probably will have to be some limit).
