    Okay, so that's a good way of doing it. You need to make a space for them, or give them a reason to show up. Once they're around, do they do anything useful?

    They are all pretty much Merchants, Merchant does general goods, Arms Dealer does ammo and fire arms etc... Nurse will heal you and remove debuffs. 11 total NPCs. The only real unique NPC is the the Old Man... lets just say don't talk to him at night.

    Overall they feel like walking shops but they do help some with the empty world feeling you get in Minecraft.

    That's cool. Yeah, throw in a couple "flavor" NPCs who just say things and tell stories and have like a hundred little things to say each, and you'd start to have the feel of a real world going on. Good way to cure that empty world syndrome.

    Exploration and survival are the most attractive aspects of the game for me.

    I like having to gather building materials before the first night hits, or hunting down animals to avoid starvation, mining ores so I can increase my odds of surviving the mobs.

    When survival stops being an issue setting out for new lands to survive in (or awe at) becomes my most entertaining activity.

    Endermen drops pearls that you can use to teleport short distances, so if you get any in your quest to murder them try throwing one :)
