    whats your thought abought them. sometiems i dont like them cause i cant build anywhere but at the same time they protect my house. It's hard to find a server with a balance of mods and straight gameplay instead of rp. my idea of a good server would be everyone contributes and puts their items they dont need in a chest for others to use and everyone shares the same things in order to make a mega awesome server.

    I love mods. The game is great as is, but all the various addons allow you to make it pretty much whatever you like, from a PvP map to an RPG. :)

    I think these no reason to think that mods are not good for minecraft. In the end you just choose which mods you install, or you join a server with mods you enjoy.

    I think theres a lot of great mods out there, there are just so many of them.

    4. 2x2 Grid Expansion
    5. Millenaire
    6. More creeps and weirdos

    Well, I did play with some mods but never really liked any so I still prefer the classic game. However, if a mod was done well enough, I do believe I could have fun playing with that mod, I'm just yet to find such a mod, and it's not like I'm searching anyway :p

    What the OP is thinking of is Plugins, not mods. I love mods, they just add variety to single-player. As for plugins it depends. Some plugins protect the server to the point where you might as well not have building rights at all. While others only enhance game-play for different types of servers. As an RP server admin I can make a list of all the plugins that I think are helpful if requested.

    After a while playing vanilla gets pretty boring, mods keep things fresh and new :)

    As for plugins some are necessary to keep people from griefing, spamming, etc however others can be a bit annoying.

    I don't like mods at all..Some of them are cool and they are helping a lot in gameplay but some of them are just so bad.

    They're usually fun to play with, but I don't really like using them, because I don't like having to set up a mod for Minecraft and I usually have to learn new gameplay and crafting recipes. There are launchers for mods like Tekkit, but I don't play modded Minecraft that much. I prefer vanilla Minecraft more to be quite honest, and have even seen some cool command block creations in vanilla Minecraft.
