I like the idea of having some people livestream. There could be a few people who can be trusted with the login for the GameOgre Livestream. The stream can have links to gameogre in the description + a logo shown on the stream. I already made stream overlays before so I wouldn't mind making a stream overlay with the GameOgre logo, or even help with the streaming.

It's a potential way of getting the word out there about GameOgre, and there could be extra content for the youtube page with highlight videos.

I also like podcasts. Next to some interesting discussions, it could be a quick way to catch up on what's happening on GameOgre for anyone who doesn't haven enough time to check everything on here.

A podcast takes a lot of planning and time though. If there are some people who want to dedicate themselves to it, it can work, but it's not easy.

This could be part of the podcast, if that idea goes through.

I have experience with livestreaming (making overlays for the streams, livestreaming at home, and 1 time streaming/casting at a LAN tournament). If anyone wants help with livestreaming I could make a tutorial for it.

 

Seems like Livestreaming in-general would be easier for now. I'm down for doing it and investing the time into it. I just have no idea where to start lol. I would love a tutorial for the livestreaming. I sure others would as well.

 

I'll work on a guide for streaming. I'm not sure where on the forums I should post it though.

edit: Also I said you'd have to trust a few people who stream with the login details, but there is a way to let people stream on the channel without giving the login. (will be in the guide)

Hope it's not too difficult to read. Point 1 and 2 of the guide aren't that important, it just lists the most important options you have for streaming sites/software. There are still a lot of options that I haven't listed off course.

A buddy system so new members who are highly active gets there personal teachers (expert, know their way around the site) to help and guide them. The pro members can volunteer to be the teachers.

Maybe we should add more themes to choose from rather than just Normal and Dark theme.
Also adding a title for the moderators so members can ask them things if they ever need to but it should also include what part of the forum they can control. >.<
