RPGs are more play and build (cumulative rewards you keep) ... whereas FPS are more directly skill oriented I suppose ...

I prefer PvP in RPG games, it makes it more interesting when you defeat other players

RPG. I am not a big fan of FPS games unless they are battle royale games at the same time. So if I don't like them, how can I be good at PvP?

  7. Depends on the RPG and how its PvP is set up; I think for the most part, RPGs that are turn-based are generally balanced, or offer unique strategies (similar to turn-based card games), because you select a move and think strategically about how your opponent will take their turn. But typically when I think about RPGs, they're aren't as centered on PvP as FPS games are; they're generally more focused on story and progression while incorporating battle elements. On the other hand, RPGs offer more in terms of theme (e.g. you can be a warrior, a ninja, or whatever character the game offers, and it doesn't have to be high fantasy). Talking purely about PvP, I think FPS games offer the most PvP experience; for instance, FPS games may have leaderboards, records (wins/losses), and other useful features tied with PvP that RPGs might not implement.
