PS3 or Xbox 360 or Wii?

There is a big discussion thread somewhere about xbox vs ps3..

I think alot of factors come into play for all of them. For the money I think Xbox360 is the best deal. Especially now that the Kinect is out. You can get the xbox360 and kinect bundle for the same price as a PS3. The downside to the kinect is the amount of games for it atm are very limited. xbox 360 itself has a wide variety of games and just about anything you can get on PS3 you can get on xbox too.

PS3 is nice for the extra features it has- like blue ray player etc. It also has a wide variety of games. The new Move seems to be pretty nice and works better than the Wii controllers. I think its a bit funny looking though lol, and when still compared to the Kinect, the Move is still another controller.

I think the Xbox 360 and PS3 both target an older more adult audience with their games.

Wii is a great price now, though the additional accessories can add up fast, especially if you want to buy extra controllers. However I think most of the Wii games(not their fitness stuff) tend to cater to a younger audience of mainly kids and tweens. So depending on the age group Wii would be better for some audiences.

 

No. Xbox Has alot of games and has some xbox only games but the ps3 has many many games that are great that are only on ps3...

Each system has games that are Only available on that system. However that amount is very small compared to the amount that is available for both.

Whether or not you like the games is personal opinion which is why I said alot of factors come into play. Out of those games you listed I have no interest in any of them lol. So they wouldnt be a factor for me. I did want to get another male opinion, so called my hubby in and asked if he was interested in any of those games and he wasnt either

I have nothing against the PS3 besides the price for what you get. Where I live its still almost twice as much as the xbox 360 is, I just dont see that as a good deal. If it was the same amount as the Xbox 360 then they would be equal IMO. Personally Im waiting till next Xmas to get the PS3, it should have another good price drop by then

DLC hasnt really been looked at too much either. All 3 offer forms of DLC now too, might also take a peak at their online DLC sites and see what might be around there to interest you as well.

But its the Quality of the games that count

 

If a game's fun, I don't mind lesser graphics and such. If I had to pick, I'd say PS3.

 

True, but PS3 games aren't necessarily better than 360 games, and vice versa. I do think that the PS3 is superior in several aspects, but its recent issues with PSN have pushed me away a little. As a netplayer I like to have reasonable security with my information...

 

just use cards for your purchases if your scared?

PS3 has the better system overall but game devs are lazy and greedy and so far games have been created for the xbox and PORTED over to the PS3 and the only boost it has gotten is less CDs needed to play the game(final fantasy 13), multiple audio tracks (star ocean), etc.

Because of this trend (dying I believe and hop) games like bayonetta, devil may cry 4, Crysis 2, final fantasy 13(actually lost levels because of the shared xbox release) have actually deteriorated in quality. For games Sony did not go cheap and kept the pure psn only licensing, the games have been great like God of War, Infamous, Uncharted, etc.

And because xbox is still using old school tech more games are being created because it's easier so you have more games even if you won't play 90% of them and the few that go over to ps3 are ports of a 360 version anyway.

Finally the user interface xbox live uses works a lot more smoothly for maneuvering, general friending, etc, and makes more sense than the PS3 version.

When PS3 steps up I'll gladly trash my Xbox because right now my PS3 is only used for blue ray and a PSP adhoc parties.

i understand all the psn things perfectly fine and the first time i used it i had no problems but when i tried to connect with my xbox i have found all these problems :S so i gave up trying

 

PC superior in almost every way in my opinion.
