    I got the armor and the pauldrons (twice) from live event chests. I guess the whole thing about having to meet Artix doesn't apply anymore.

    It seems to be a New Year's event to earn them now. Players in general never really liked the exclusivity of the armor pieces in the first place, so there was always more demand to make it more available. There's really no point in having items in the game at all, if only a small handful of people can ever get them anyway, and that has always been the main problem with the Direwolf gear.
