    This is the first match of the second round in the Online Shooter Showdown. Voting for this match will end on May 15th, 2010 at 12:01 AM Central.

    Unlike the MMORPG Showdowns, voting in this thread will have a large say in determining the winning game because each review score in the Review Directory will be multiplied by the percentage of votes received here. For example, a game that had a 9 in the Review Directory and won all of the votes here would have an overall score of 9. If a game had a 9 in the review directory but tied here, that game would have an overall score of 4.5 because it only won 50% of the vote. In the event of an overall tie, voting will be determined via comments.

    • Game Modes: Search and Destroy, Elimination, Team Death Match, Ghost Mode, Special Mode, Free for All, Pandemic Mode/Mutation Mode
    • You can pick up weapons by walking over them if no primary or secondary weapon is equipped.
    • Ghost Mode is very unique.

    While Crossfire is a very entertaining FPS, in the end, MW2 is the more superior one, with a tighter and more fun multiplayer, and overall MUCH more content than Crossfire. Even though one MW2 needs to be bought, and Crossfire is supported by cash shop but is free, MW2 is still the one with the higher user base.

    I will break the tie and choose MW2. MW2 was able to break sales records despite charging $10 more than other PC games.

    I think a lot of people like Crossfire because it is a good FPS, won the last Shooter Showdown, and it's free.

    However, MW2 is a much better FPS, in both multiplayer, co-op and single player (latter two because Crossfire doesn't have them). And aren't we supposed to be voting for the better game? Not giving bias to the one has the better price/reputation?

    Ah yes, that's a good point. I always seem to lag a bit during Crossfire, or there will be several other people that lag during a match.

    Somehow, I doubt that will happen with a game like MW2 that has the economical might of Activision behind it.

    I think this will be the turning point for a lot of predictions too...
