Mary-Margaret Network announces a new event, “Career Catalyst for Digital Creatives presented by Austin IGDA, Austin SIGGRAPH and AIGA Austin.†Career Catalyst will take place on February 19, 2011 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at J. J. Pickle Research Campus WPR Building, 3925 West Braker Lane in Austin, Texas. The event is a career development conference aimed at digital media, interactive, graphics, videogame, film, design and creative industry professionals and students. Co-hosted by the Austin chapters of international industry and academic organizations IGDA (News and Updates | IGDA), SIGGRAPH (ACM SIGGRAPH News — siggraph.org) and AIGA (AIGA | the professional association for design), the afternoon event will contain opportunities for portfolio and resume review by professionals (Portfolio Posse), keynote speakers, career networking and industry enrichment. Attendees, sponsors and exhibitors will hear career-boosting talks and be able to meet, connect, get to know and potentially hire people who are currently working in these vibrant industries.
