Cimmerian Space Kickstarter

Our Kickstarter is due to launch in early September, and we want to give you a sneak peak about the pledges and rewards.



Cimmerian Space is a real time 3D space combat Browser Game and is getting close to launching its Beta test, so the kickstarter is not funding the games development but instead an exciting new ship customization feature. Above you can see a ship made with the Terran Fleet Kit - you too can make your own ship starting with an initial Hull that forms the base for your ship, then add engines, weapons, bridges and decorative features, each of which can be position and oriented to give your ship a unique look and feel.

The Terran kits has:

9 Engines
15 Weapons (shared with other fleets)
3 Radars
3 Bridges
3 Windows
3 Weapon Nacelles
12 other decorative parts
3 Hulls Initially - Frigate, Corvette, Cruiser
2 Hulls as Stretch Goals: Aegis Cruiser and Destroyer

Here is another ship made using the same set of parts and the Frigate Hull, and with a different colour scheme, you can see you can customise the ships to make them your own.


The Stretch Goals will unlock more Fleet Styles, additional Color Schemes, and more Hulls. All kickstarter backers will gain access to all of the Fleet Styles and Color Schemes that are unlocked, and you will be allowed to mix and match parts and colors on your ship, giving you an infinite spectrum of possible ship designs. The Hulls themselves will need to be unlocked separately, but you will have to wait until our next news letter to find out more details about that!

Cimmerian Space currently focuses on fighter type vessels and game play, but the upcoming expansion will introduce a range of mid sized vessels. The major difference being the introduction of Turrets, and Heavy Shield, Weapon and Engine hard points.
These larger Ships will fly in the same manner as their fighter brethren however if the ship has they will fire automatically at your selected target if it lies in the turrets fire arc. If the selected target is not in the turrets fire arc, or there is no target selected the Turret will automatically aim at another enemy target within its range.
We will our use our existing hard point system to equip your ship, with the addition of Heavy Class Weapons Shields and Engines. This allows the new vessels to cope with their greater masses, and pack increased punch against other mid or large sized ships.

Lets take a look at the some of the Vessels* and the hard points they are going to have


Capital ships will also make an entrance to the game, but will be reserved for running missions against, to give the players some big challenges to face!


*some details may change upon release, and some fleets may have different hard point configurations

The cool thing is Kickstarter backers who Pledge 10$ or more will each recieve a Corvette for all the Fleet Styles unlocked as Stretch Goals, so they can start customising their ships as soon as each Fleet is released. The remaining vessels will be released as stretch goals and be available to backers as Add-Ons, at a discounted rate from their in game value. Alternatively if you are patient enough you can wait to un-lock them in game.
