As citizens, you must know how important country-managing skills are. Our personal living standards can skyrocket if our leader manages well ranging from hard power to soft power. On the contrary, we would live miserably. Therefore, if we want to live happily, we must have a good leader with excellent managing skills. Some of you may complain that your leaders suck. Some of you holding amazing country-running philosophy may find nowhere to put into practice. You guys must be exceptionally happy seeing this strategy game with social elements, City of Wonder, aiming to let players build well-advanced and prosperous civilization because you can be a leader in the virtual world.

If you are familiar with Social City, you won’t find the City of Wonder difficult to play. To put it in an easy way, you need to build residential houses to accommodate your people who can produce goods and strengthen your army, you need to research technologies to unlock new buildings, and you need to forge relationship with your neighboring countries either in nice or bad way.

As a strategy simulation game, City of Wonder is in-depth and of interest. Specifically, you need to develop your city going through Stone Age, Classical Age, Modern Age… and finally to civilization. How cool is it! What you can do in the initial period is building houses to expand your population cap and produce people. When you reach level 5, you are able to trade, attack, and conduct cultural exchange with your neighboring countries.

In terms of the inner city construction, besides building houses or other technology-driven buildings, you have to build entertaining devices to make your people happy. You need to build gardens or other decorations and you have to clean them regularly. On the ride side of the game screen, three kinds of masks showing “happy, bored and sad†will alarm you to take care of your country’s happy index. Advising system is also introduced in this game, corresponding with modern city’s emphasis to talents training. There are three advisors in the game—military, economic and cultural advisors. They pop up when you need to pick which kind of building to be constructed. When you follow their advice, your respective points increase.

When you think your countries are too small to bear your buildings, you need to expand your boundaries using your silver coins or gold which can be earned by trading goods or winning cultural exchange. As long as you walk out of your little cozy country, you shall visit your embassy in other countries, helping to increase your cultural points.

In addition, what’s worth mentioning is that you have to build marvelous cultural monuments such as the Great Wall or Egyptian Pyramid as your individual identity, If you were the leader of your country, would you suck at developing it? Prove it if you nod your head.
