Death in single player games

    One element of typical game play is that death is never permanent ... would you even consider a game where dying meant you had to start all over (from the beginning)?

    Hmm probably not as it'd be frustrating to start all over, especially if you had many hours saved on it

    I know one of this type of games, ill post here when I remember the game, it's a MMORPG game, you have a real life there.

    I think it's a valuable learning tool for improving and strategizing. You learn from failure. RPGs that are too easy just aren't as fun; you have to have some kind of "losing element" that pushes you to become better.
